Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Software Install Instructions

This software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, and XP. The install instructions may be different for the different versions of Windows. For all these operating systems, additional information about this software can be found at Microsoft's website.

Windows XP

This software comes standard with Windows XP but is not part of the default Windows installation. There are two options for installing this software on Windows XP:

1. Install the software from the Windows XP CD. Instructions for doing this can be found at Microsoft's website.
2. Install using the non-Windows XP method (described below).

1. Download the program installer. This program can also be downloaded from Microsoft's website.
2. Double-click or run the downloaded program and follow the on-screen install instructions.
3. Installation is complete. The program can be found on the start menu at
   Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Remote Desktop Connection
