Abstract:

Two novel hydrogen-bonded network polymers, [MoO2Cl2(H2O)(2)](2)[4,4'-H(2)bipy](2+)center dot 2Cl(-) (1) and [MoO2Cl4](2-)[4,4'-H-2-bipy](2+) (2) [bipy = bipyridine] contained different three-dimensional NH center dot center dot center dot Cl hydrogen-bonded arrangements resulting in different polymeric structures; complex I or 2 as catalytic precursor, H2O2 as a source of oxygen and NaHCO3 as cocatalyst showed great efficiency for the epoxidation of olefinic compounds under ambient conditions.
