Faculty Position Available
The Department of Chemistry at Michigan Technological University solicits candidates to fill two tenure-track faculty positions beginning fall 2012.
We seek applicants with research and teaching interests within the NSF CHE categories: (i) chemical synthesis; (ii) structure, dynamics and mechanisms; (iii) catalysis; (iv) macromolecular, supramolecular, and nanochemistry; or (v) environmental chemical sciences.
Candidates are expected to establish an externally funded, nationally recognized research program, and be committed to excellence in both undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) education. Teaching responsibilities will be in either organic or physical chemistry.
A Ph.D. degree in chemistry or related field is required; postdoctoral experience is strongly recommended. Please submit a brief cover letter describing your interest in one (or more) of the research categories above, a curriculum vitae, a short description of future research plans, a statement of teaching interests and experience, a list of required equipment with estimated costs, and have three letters of recommendation submitted directly.
